Maybe in another life

I could find you there

Pulled away before your time

I can’t deal

It’s so unfair

A tall, slim woman with brown hair, tightly pulled back into two perfect buns, stood before a grave. Two blood red roses lay across the green earth before a gray marble slab marking the end of a life. As a period would mark the end of a sentence. Two large tears rolled from her brown eyes, and slid down her face. The tears dripped from her face, and glistened in the setting sun as they fell upon the roses.

And it feels

And it feels like

Heaven’s so far away

And it feels

Yeah it feels like

The world has grown cold

Now that you’ve gone away

Lady Une watched as more tears escaped from her weary eyes. She wrapped her arms around herself as if to guard her body from loneliness. Her body trembled and shook as heart-wrenching sobs sliced through the dense atmosphere. Une freed one hands and held it to her face as if to block the tears and to keep the precious memories inside. The pain and loneliness stabbed at her heart without mercy. Through her shaking fingers Une looked once more at the gravestone, and then to the setting sun. Her strength flew from her body, and she sunk to her knees. She began to rock back and forth as her sobs grew louder. She slammed her fist into the ground and beat the earth and screamed, “WHY?”

Leaving flowers on your grave

Show that I still care

But black roses and Hail Mary’s

Can’t bring back what’s taken from me

I reach to the sky

And called out your name

And if I could trade

I would

“Why did you leave me? What am I supposed to do now? I can’t make it without you! Oh God, I want you to hold me in your arms once more! I want to see your smile! I need to see your face.”

And it feels

And it feels like

Heaven’s so far away

And it stings

Yeah it stings now

The world is so cold

Now that you’ve gone away

Lady Une sat on the ground, staring at the gravestone as tears silently slid down her pale face. “I want to be with you,” she whispered. She pushed her glasses back up her nose and wiped the tears from her eyes. She slowly rose from the hard, cold earth and stood before the marble slab. “I never told you,” she took a deep breath and suppressed her tears, “I- I never told you how much I love you.”

I reach to the sky

And called out your name

But please let me trade

I would

Her eyes once again welled with tears, and they slid down her face. But before her anguish could unleash another fit of pain a small, soft warm hand slide into hers. A small voice broke the silence, “I think my father always knew that you loved him.” Lady Une broke her gaze from the grave, and turned to the small redheaded girl holding her hand, and standing next to her. Lady Une felt the little girl squeeze her hand. Une felt a small smile sketch itself across her tear stained face. She bent down and hugged Mariemaia. The two hugged each other and then stood before the grave of their cherished love, Treize Kushrinada and silently shed their tears together.

And it feels

And it feels like

Heaven’s so far away

And it feels

Yeah it feels like

The world has grown cold

Now that you’ve gone away

“I will always love you, Treize…”
