Wojna (War)

Sins of the fathers shadow the present.
Night beckons the angry storm to churn the sea,
Waves crash according to the tumultuous water.
Whistling winds race across the broken surface,
Spraying salt slices through the air, and abandons the water
As if punishing both for their actions, but
The border between the elements disappears
As the titans clash and battle for more.
Fish and birds alike flee to avoid the gravitational pull
Towards the maelstrom of annihilation.
Thunder echoes across the sea,
Streaks of lightning march through the sky opening the clouds.
A forgotten ship devoid hope is caught between the ancient battle
Forced to choose a side, yet
The waves crush its hull as the air bites into its sails.
As the night progresses and dawn awakens the world,
Sunlight shines upon the sea once more and bathes
The ship, beached and laying amongst the destruction and death.
Each side is deceptively calm and peaceful, licking their wounds,
Each waits for a weakness; the chance to strike again.
