Disclaimer: Why would I be stupid enough to claim that I own GundamWing? I mean come on now! First of all, I am Polish, NOT Japanese. Secondly, if I had created GW, why would I post my stories in a FAN-fiction section of a site? Think about it!

Sometimes life surprises a person, and everything seems to fall into place! The sun shines, the birds sing, and other various clichés. On feels elated, light and happy. For a while, life is wonderful. Yet the true question seems to be, how long will this last? Nothing lasts forever.

Noin opened her eyes to the beeping sound being emitted from her alarm clock. She reached over and turned it off. She sprang up from her bad, stretched and yawned. A smile crossed her face as she thought, <<Today is the day when I finally beat Zechs.>> She had studied and thought of every possible plan for today’s war games. Not to mention the fact that poor little Zechs was going to be outnumbered! He was always one step ahead of her, but today she was going to take two leaps forward. The day just seemed right to Noin. She was up early, but not too early to become sleepy during the day. She had laid her clothes out the night before, and easily prepared herself for the day. She got into the mess hall early. She liked coming early to the mess hall when it was always the cleanest, and the best food choices were available. She slowly ate her breakfast; the mess hall even had applesauce, her favorite! She sat and watched as the mess hall began to fill with other soldiers. She finished eating and took her tray to the tray bin. A piece of orange came flying at Noin. She blocked the offending fruit with her tray. Her blonde haired, blue eyed fellow pilot smiled at her. Unfortunately, the piece of blocked orange hit a fellow cadet. Noin left the mess hall just in time to escape a massive food fight.

As she walked down the hall she was greeted by her friends. They all told her that she was going to win the war games. Noin smiled happily at her group of friends. One girl told her that Zechs was late for breakfast. Noin smiled, <<He is probably up training as we speak.>> She sighed, wishing her friend could learn to relax, a little. She excused herself from her group of friends. Talking about how sexy the male cadets looked in uniform, always made her blush, especially when it came to Zechs. She bid them farewell and with her head held high, marched down toward the field.

On the war games ground, she met and plotted with her teammates. She told the two men her ingenious plan. She was going to win this time! They eagerly listened and readily agreed to use the plan. One pilot would lead Zechs into a trench filled area of the grounds, while the other would pilot the Aires mobile suit. Noin would meanwhile circle around and trap her prey. When the pilot reached his Aires, Noin instructed him on how to fly it, “Noin” style. <<This will throw Zechs completely off balance!>> she thought with an evil grin. “Let the games begin.”

Noin could only pray that the first two soldiers did their jobs. Hers was simple enough, but depended heavily on the success of the others. She heard the sound of yelling and saw her first teammate stomp off the field in anger. <<Well, Zechs, you don’t waste any time do you?>> She watched as Zechs jumped into the trench, then she heard the ominous roar of the Aires. It quickly approached Zechs and Noin smiled when she saw the pilot make the mobile suit zigzag to imitate her tactic in battle. <<Ohhhh...this is going to work!>> She saw Zechs jump from the trench and roll across the ground. His long silver blonde hair was whipping in the wind produced by the mobile suit. She knew that Zechs would hit his target, she had planned on it. Sure enough, Zechs hit the Aires suit. She smiles as she heard him speak to the pilot as if it was her. She also saw his hands ball into fists when the pilot revealed his identity. <<He knows I’m somewhere out here! Now it’s time for his surprise!>> She swiftly ran towards Zechs after her teammate left, and raised her gun to his head.

She heard him talk aloud to himself and smiled when she heard him say that she was smart. She decided to show him right then and there just how smart she was. She told him that he was correct in assuming so, <<This will throw him off guard.>> She watched as he whirled around and looked into the barrel of her gun. She had finally defeated her friend, and inspiration for perfection, Zechs. He stood silently, and she felt a small pang of guilt. <<He...he isn’t happy for me?>> When Zechs finally congratulated her, she felt her guilt lift from her heart. <<He is happy for me! And did he just say that he was proud of me???>> Today was going to be a good day.
