Greetings and welcome to Final Siege, this is a mod who's only goal is to fully immerse the player in the characters and the story, not loot or random, wanton killing. To put it plainly, the model for this mod will the old Final Fantasy lines by Squaresoft. These games, while graphically inferior to current RPG's on the market offered something greater, more powerful then just mere graphics: the story. Graphics and endless (though sometimes boring) replay value (done through random dungeons or mutliplayer) are offered in place of that key storyline that made the graphics of the games obsolete by transfering all the images you needed into your own imaginition. That is the goal of this mod. When Gas Powered Games sent me the gold copy I won on a random drawing I was ecstatic, however after playing the game for some time I found it lacking in one department, story. The engine is great, and they are providing mod support to their community. I am not currently positive that Dungeon Siege will be compatible with such a strong story-line setting with less hack'n'slash. But I am determined to make their gift something truly remarkable for me, and hopefully others. Other games have also caught my eye with their strong mod-community support, specifically Morrowind and Never Winter Nights. Neither of which are gold yet (Morrowind will be soon) but both offer intresting additions to the RPG community.
