Summary: The Green Lantern, Alan Scott starred in the first series and was cancelled due to a drop in the popularity of comic book super-heroes. The second series featured Hal Jordon and had a lenghty run The power battery that powers all Green Lantern rings is destroyed in the final issue of Green Lantern Vol. 2 which was renamed Green Lantern Corps on the cover with #200. A new Green Lantern series debuts in 1990 and Hal Jordan is replaced with Kyle Rayner with issue #50. Kyle Rayner's series ended with issue #181 to make way for the return of Hal Jordan in an all-new Green Lantern series. Kyle gets his own series 'Ion.' Alan Scott appears in JSA.INDEX
