Excalibur

History: Oct 1988-Oct 1998 #1-125, July 2004-July 2005 Vol. 2 #1-14 Summary: Excalibur starred Captain Britian, Meggan, former X-Men, Nightcrawler, Kitty Pryde, Rachel Summers and later Colossus forming a new team in Europe. They carried on adventures overseas until it was decided to bring them home for the 35th anniversary of the X-Men. An all-new Excalibur series returned in 2004, but had no connection with the previous series, except in name. The Chris Claremont penned series featured Professor X reunited with a reformed Magneto in a nuclear holocaust recovering Genosha. There other mutants such as Callisto and new characters joined them. With the Avengers Disassembled storyline, Magneto brought the sick Scarlet Witch to Genosha. The Scarlet Witch's reality altering powers go out of control and lead to the House of M storyline. It was recently announced that Excalibur will not return after House of M, but a new series, 'New Excalibur' will take its place featuring a new team of Captain Britian, Pete Wisdom, Juggernaut, Nocturne and Dazzler.
