Summary: A new Batgirl debuted in 1999's No Man's Land storyline in the Batbooks. Her name was Cassandra Cain,
a mute girl who was trained to be an assassain. Cassandra later learned to talk. Cassandra's reign as Batgirl
ended with her death in a duel with Lady Shiva who claimed to be her mother. Lady Shiva restored Cassandra to
life in Ra's Al Ghul's Lazarus Pit. After a rematch with Shiva, Cassandra hung up her batsuit.
The Batgirl series will be replaced by a new Batwoman series later. Its unknown if Cassandra will take
this identity or someone else.
