His name is Tidus, he is cheerful and famous player of a sport called Blitzball. One day he awakens and his home is destroyed by an unknown force. Soon after he meets a young woman named Yuna. She is studying the ancient art of summoning. Her father is a master summoner and she is fed up with living in his shadow.
