Secret FMV:

For secret footage of Zack and Cloud, go to the Shinra Mansion Library on Disc 3. Cloud will have a flashback which will show them as prisoners, being immersed in Mako, escaping and Zack dying. You can then read reports and letters in the far end of the room!!

Video Footage

If you let Elena knock you out at the Icicle Village, you will wak e up in house. By the door is a video player which plays four videos. They are:

• WEAPON bosses
• JENOVA
• Professor Gast (Aeris' father) dying
• Ifalna and her daughter, Aeris, are captured.

Getting Yuffie:

To get Yuffie Kisaragi, you need to walk around in any forest in the world. After 2 or 3 battles, you will encounter her. Beat her. Then, she will ask you some questions. First, when she asks you to fight again, say "Not interested". Next, she asks if you are scared of her, say "Petrified". When she says she's going to leave, say "Wait a second". and, finally, she will offer her sevices so you say "That's right".
NB: If you answer incorrectly or use the save point in the little area where you chat to her then she will run away, take your money and you will have to repeat the process all over again.

Getting Vincent:

To get Vincent, you have to go to the safe in the Nibelheim mansion and open it. You have 20 seconds and to do it you need to move the numbers like this: right =>36, left=>10, right=>59 and right =>97. You will then fight a boss, and, after winning you will get Cosmo Memory (Red XIII's Level 4 Limit break), Odin summon materia and a key to the basement. Go down the spiral staircase hidden in one of the bedrooms upstairs and down the passage but before entering the library, go into the door above and Vincent will be in a coffin. Inspect the coffin and Vincent will pop out. You talk to him about Sephiroth and Lucrecia (Sephiroth's mother and Vincent's lover) and then he goes back to sleep. Talk to him again and he will tell you his name. Then, exit the room and as you are halfway down the corridor, he will catch up with you and join your party.

Chocobo Racing:

When in a chocobo race, simply hold L1, L2, R1 and R2 and your chocobo will slowly regain his/her stamina.

Dating Yuffie:

At Gold Saucer when you have to date someone, it's usually Aeris but if you've been nasty to her, then you'll date Tifa. If you've been nasty to both of them then you'll date Yuffie and I even heard a rumour today that if you're nasty to all three, then you date Barrett!!!

Huge materia:

To get the Bahamut summon in it's highest form (ZERO, I think), then do the following; when you're in the rocket with Cid for the first time, press circle, square, X, X. Then, when you return to Cosmo Canyon soon after, examine all the materiae in Bugenhagen's little contraption and you will receive the last Bahamut materia.

Free Tifa:

To free Tifa from the chair she is tied up in whilst being held in the gas chamber by the Shinra, press X, X, square, hold X and triangle, hold O and triangle, O, O.

The Man in Kalm

To get the Guide Book, Desert Rose and Earth Harp for the man in Kalm you need to follow these 6 steps:

1. Morph the 'Ghost Ship' enemy in the tunnel leading to the Underwater Reactor to get the Guide Book.

2. Exchange the Guide Book for the Underwater materia. This is to eliminate the 20-minute timer for completing the next step which is...

3. Defeat the Emerald Weapon which is underwater. Get to it with the submarine, beat it, and you will receive the Earth Harp.
NB; For help completing this, refer to the Weapon Bosses page

4. Exchange the Earth Harp for 3 'master' materiae. Master materia are single materia orbs which allow you to use any type of the particular magic. IE; a master summon materia allows you to use any summon with just one orb

5. Then, beat the Ruby Weapon in the desert surrounding The Gold Saucer to get the Desert Rose

6. And finally, exchange the Desert Rose with the Kalm traveller for a Gold Chocobo.

The Key to Midgar

This is found in Bone Village, on the opposite side to the entrance where the man stands in a door way, just below a piece of metal sticking out of the ground, left of the plane. Did you get that ?!

Bonus Materia Locations:

1. Mime

The mime materia is an orb which allows the person with it equipped to copy the last action of a particular character.

It's found in a cave to the east of a mountain in the bridged region of Wutai's continent.

To get to the cave, use a green chocobo or higher.

When you enter the cave, simply touch the glowing yellow light in the centre of the room and Mime will pop out.

2. HP<->MP

HP<->MP materia reverses your HP and MP. This is useful if you use magic A LOT.

It's in a cave near North Corel, situated by a river which runs next to a big mountain. It is quite near The Gold Saucer.

Use a blue, black or Gold Chocobo to cross the river and to reach the cave

When you are in there, simply touch the ice blue light and HP<->MP will be dispensed

3. Quadra Magic

Quadra magic gives you the ability to use the paired magic 4 times.

You can find it in a cave located on the northern stretch of land of the Southern continent (with Mideel). It is in the far Eastern penninsula

Either use a Gold Chocobo or fly there with the Highwind, land nearby and use a blue, black or gold chocobo to get to the cave.

Once in there, examine the blue pyramid of light in the sandy cave and, as with the other materiae, Quadra Magic will be dispensed.

4. Knights of the Round

Knights of the Round is an amazing summon, the best in the game. It hits 13 times, I think and does more damage than Omnislash. Correct me if I'm wrong by emailing me here.

It is on an oval shaped, unchartered island in the North East of the FFVII world.

You can't land the Highwind on it so you need a Gold Chocobo to get there.

Enter the cave and touch the red pyramid in the room to receive the most powerful summon in the game :-)

Turtles Paradise Flyers:

All around the world, the owner of the Turtles Paradise in Wutai has put up advertisements for his pub. If you find all 6 flyers then he will give you one of each of the sources and an elixir. The flyers can be found...

1. In the slums next to Aeris' house on the papers on the wall next to the stairs of the South East building.
2. On the first floor of the Shinra building, on the notice board next to the lift.
3. In the Gold Saucer. On the board next to the big 'Shop' sign in the Ghost hotel.
4. Next to the Tiger Lily Arms shop in Cosmo Canyon.
5. The Gold Paper by the door on the 2nd floor of the inn in Cosmo Canyon.
6. In Yuffie's house, on the wall scroll to the right of the door in her basement, AFTER THE SIDEQUEST.

W-Item trick:

In battle, choose an item with the character who has W-item and use it. Choose another item but don't select a character and cancel. Keep selecting an item but cancelling the character and the item increases by 1 each time!

Lucky 7777:
