The world Gaia is in trouble. Two sets of enemies are threatening it; evil Queen Brahne of Alexandria and Kuja from another dimension. After an assault on a town called Lindblum, your team, led by the heroic Zidane, decide to take action. A group of thieves plan to take hold of Brahne's beautiful daughter princess Garnet (Dagger) and interrogate and question her but she decides to run away anyway and joins the team. Zidane, one of the thieves, encounters her and realizes that there long journery ahead awaits, and their mission is to protect Gaia form the troublesome enemies. Their journery brings them new questions and adventures and new allies. Its up to the gamer to decide if Gaia will survive through these hard times.
