Well this site has been in need of updates on my stay here! haha well here it is! Ok well it's actually a little into September but now I have some time to fill you in on the past week and a half of my stay...ok well let's see oh yeah...I have been to many places now! The MRT (Subway if you didn't know already) has been the main way of getting to these places but I also take the bus. I have been to the mountains around the outskirts of Taibei, a Big Art Museum just about an hour South of Taibei, the very nothern end of Taibei (Tamshui as it is spelled here...not pinyin), and the many stores and night markets...oh as well as KTV. It's like Kareoke but there are many small rooms where you and some friends hang out, punch in some songs, and then sing into the mic. to them! haha I sang one song my first (and only) time (so far) Well the food is good nothing out of the ordinary (hahaha...just joking) but it's not anything that we can't digest fairly easily...(well most of it!) I can drink the filtered and bottled water but I would never do what i did at home and drink out of the tap...the milk here tastes like it's skim milk but the apple juice tastes like it's superb sparkling cider...and the orange juice is extremely sweet! haha well let me warn those ever thinking of coming here (BRING LOT'S OF MONEY FOR IT CAN GET EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE TO JUST LIVE FOR A FEW HOURS!!! EVEN IN THE MARKETS THINGS CAN GET PRICEY) haha but there are those few places that sell things like we would never (big bottled water for the equivalent of about 30 cents. (in school of course.) but then again our school sold water for a dollar for a regualr sized bottle!) haha well the people are very friendly but...I have noticed that I think I am looking forward to a change of family...NOT THAT MY CURRENT FAMILY ISN'T AWSOME...it's just that they are very.......traditional...and old! The youngest child is 21! haha i guess i need other young people to talk to....haha well the chinese is slowly being used more and more often! I can see how by about Christmas we should speak anough chinese to survive by ourselves (if we had to) so that is a good sign! haha well nothing much more to say except have a nice day and look to my next updates soon...(since i'll have to anyways since it's already september!) well i G2G to bed I have some dumb meetings tomorrow...on SUNDAY!! No church for me tomorrow!... :( Alrighty......
