Worms Armageddon Weapon Descriptions

Go Home

Here are the available weapons in Worms: Armageddon, including the secret ones:

Battle Axe: Takes half of worm's health off.  Especially good if they just got a health crate or in a big group of worms.  Will only kill a worm if the worm has one health left.

Handgun: Pretty much one of the most non used weapons, because it does only a maximum damage of 30.  Although you do get 5 shots (rapid).

Uzi: Not used that often, does maximum damage of 50.

Minigun: Pretty much an upgrade to the uzi, does maximum of 75 damage.

Longbow: Used mostly to knock opponents off edge or to blow up an oil barrel.  You get two shots with the longbow, each inflicting 15 damage.

Prod: The ultimate in embarassment! Pretty much just pushing your enemy forward a tad, does no damage, althought could if fall damage is on.

Suicide Bomber: If used, your worm will blow himself up, making a tiny bit of damage but also spreading up fumes to make your enemies sick.

Kamikaze: Change the angle of your worm if you wish and launch into enemies direction.  Does maximum of of 30 damage, used mostly on bridges.

Air Strike: Launch 5 missiles (default power) from the air onto your enemies heads.  Each missile does maximum of 25 damage.

Napalm Strike: Launch 5 missiles from the air and they will explode into napalm after you launch them.  Napalm is affected by the wind, so watch out.  It usually does around 50 damage.

French Sheep Strike: Probably one of the best strikes in the game, although I do not know the exact damage each sheep takes off, but it is quite big and each sheep blows holes into the ground (or worm) I think 3 times for each sheep.

Mine Strike: Drop 5 more mines onto the landscape or onto your enemies heads.  Be careful with the mine strike because the mines bounce quite high.  Useful if enemies are in a hole.

Bazooka: Bazooka is an ideal weapon for beginners and pros alike.  Used usually if you can't reach your enemies with anything else, and is affected by the wind. Does maximum of 50 damage.  Very easy to use, very difficult to master.

Homing Missile: With the homing missile you click on where you want it to go and hold down the shoot button for the amount of power you want. Be careful because they don't go around land. If there is land in the way it'll just fly right into it. Does maximum of 50 damage.

Mortar: One of the most unused weapons in Worms because it's so unreliable. Pretty much with a mortar it's like shooting a cluster bomb into the air. Once it comes in contact with something (land or worm) it will explode into 5 cluster-like things and each one takes off maximum of 15 damage. There is one way to get a good mortar shot: stand on another worms head, use ninja rope and make it launch straight up, then drop the mortar out of the rope. Very effective.

Homing Pidgeon: A good percent of people use the homing pigeon as their special weapon because they do a maximum of 75 damage and home around land to reach their target. Watch out though because they are rather stupid.

Sheep Launcher: Launch a regular sheep into the air to reach your enemies. They do a maximum of 75 damage.

Grenade: Grenades are ok weapons but are hard to get really good shots on enemies from far away. You can change the fuse settings from 1-5 seconds until it explodes. You can also make it bounce a lot if it hits the ground or bounce only a little. Does maximum of 50 damage.

Cluster Bomb: Same as grenades except different colour and when the fuse ends (1-5 seconds choice) it will explode into 5 minibomb type things which do a maximum of 15 damage each. Cluster bombs pretty much suck ass unless you place it right under an enemy and hope for a little luck.

Banana Bomb: All hail the banana bomb. The most one of the most powerful weapon in Worms: Armageddon. After settings the fuse setting, you place or throw the banana bomb like a grenade/cluster and when it explodes 5 bananas will fly out and take off 100 points maximum damage each! My personal favourite thing to do is get a damage times 2 out of a utility crate and destroy a group of worms.

Earth Quake: The Earth Quake is used to knock off other worms into the water. The Earth Quake itself doesn't do any damage, but fall damage could happen or mines could fall on the worms.

Fire Punch: Fire punch is used mostly to knock enemies into the water or to finish off low health worms. It can also take out land above you or you can use it to firepunch mines onto enemies. Takes off 30 points of damage.

Dragon Ball: Very similar to the fire punch, but you can launch this and it will travel straight and for a short distance. It also punches the worm/mine almost directly to the left/right instead of up and left/right.  Takes off 30 points of damage.

Dynamite: Most likely the most used weapon (especially in WormsLeaguePRO and AM on WORMNET) and it's very simple: Just play the dynamite and run. Does maximum of 75 damage.

Mine: The mine is used to place in the middle of nowhere to prevent enemies from coming to you, or you can place them on worm's heads. Does maximum of 50 damage.

Sheep: Our fluffy little friend is used to kill enemies along a path. Just press space bar to launch him, and press space bar again to make him blow up. Takes off maximum of 75 damage.

Super Sheep: Press space bar to launch the super sheep and press space again and let him fly! You can use left and right to control our fluffy friend while in flight or you can press space bar again to let him drop down onto the land and blow up. Takes off maximum of 75 damage.

Aqua Sheep: The same as the super sheep, except this can go underwater.

Mole Bomb: Mole Bomb. Wow. Probably the shittiest weapon ever. Press space bar to launch the mole and press space bar again and he will jump up and dig his way into the ground. Press space bar again to make him blow up. Takes off I think a maximum of 15 points of damage. Mostly used to get at Darksiders.

Mail Strike: Drop 5 mail letters onto your foes! Used the same as any other strike, but like the napalm strike, is affected by the wind. Each mail takes off I think a maximum of 50 points of damage.

Mole Squadron: This is a bunch of mole bombs coming down from the air like an any other type of strike. Press space bar to blow up the moles. Each mole does I think 15 maximum points of damage.

Blowtorch: Blowtorch is used by darksiders, to run usually or sometimes to get to people. You can press spacebar in the middle of blowtorching through land to stop. If you're crazy enough you can blowtorch other worms (usually off the edge) which does I think a maximum of 35 damage.

Pneumatic Drill: Drill down through land to run, or to even attack other enemies. Usually just brushes the enemies out of the way, but if used properly to attack, I think takes off maximum of 35 damage.

Girder: Another weapon mainly used by Darksiders, to block off enemies or to make bridges. You can press left and right to change the size and direction of the girder.

Girder Starter Pack: 5 girders for your use, and you can only even place one if you want (just click the cancel button).

Baseball Bat: Baseball bat takes off 30 points of damage but pretty much nobody uses it for that; they use it to blast enemies (or even mines) off the cliff. Used especially good if low gravity is on.

Ninja Rope: Ninja rope is used to swing to another area, or you can drop some weapons by pressing enter while attached to something with the ninja rope.  Also, while swinging, you can press space bar to let go and press spacebar again to launch your rope while in mid-air. Ropers are perfectionists at doing this. If you do this, at the top it will say # shots remaining, or it wont say anything meaning that you have unlimited shots.  You can change the amount in the weapon options under 'power' settings.

Bungee: If you want to walk off a cliff and get down lower but you will lose you turn if you fall to far, just select bungee and walk right off the cliff.  You will bungee down and if you want to you can drop things like grenades out of it, but most people don't use it for that purpose. You can swing a little bit while bungeeing but it is tricky to master.  Press spacebar to let go of bungee.

Parachute: If there is a distance you want to get to but it is too far to jump to, then select parachute and jump and press space bar.  Watch the wind though because if you want to jump to your right but the wind is going left, you will not get anywhere.  You can also drop certain weapons out of it while parachuting.  Also, if you hold up while parachuting, you will stay up a little bit longer and if you hold left/right it will take you there faster (or slower, if you want).

Teleport: Very simple. Click teleport and click where you want to teleport to.

Scales Of Justice: If you are losing, press space bar to activate it and every team's life will be split accordingly. For example, if you have 2 worms left, one with 100, and one with 50, it will make each have 75.

Super Banana Bomb: The only thing that is probably more preferred then the regular banana bomb, because you press space bar when you want it to explode, and press spacebar again when you want the 5 bananas to explode.

Holy Hand Grenade: Another commonly chosen special weapon, it is used like a grenade/cluster except there are no fuse settings (fuse is set to 3 seconds, but will only explode after it completely stops) and doesn't bounce as much as a grenade/cluster.  Takes off maximum of 100 damage.

Flame Thrower: The Flame Thrower is used to burn people! Aim it at a foe, and press spacebar to launch flame into his face.  You can change direction of it while firing, but watch out because it is affected by the wind so it could blow back into your face.  Takes off maximum of 125 points of damage if used very very well and you get some luck...

Salvation Army: Press space to let go a funny looking guy beating on a drum.  After a certain time it will count down and explode on its own, or you can press spacebar to make it explode yourself. Does maximum of 75 points of damage.  Also, after it explodes, a bunch of ball like things (5 of them) will fly out of it.  Each one of them does a maximum of 50 damage I think.

MB Bomb: You select where you want to launch it, and it comes down out of the sky and explodes on contact of land or worm.  It is affected by the wind and looks very fat.  I think it takes off maximum of 100 points of damage.

Petrol Bomb: Petrol bomb is used when the enemy worm is in a hole, usually, or can be used to block off enemies from following you because they stay burning for I think 4 turns.  If it's one on one, and they freeze themselves, launch a petrol bomb (used like a grenade) and as soon as their turn starts again they'll start burning and lose their turn.  Damage can range from a little tiny tap of 1 health up to probably in the 80's.

Skunk: press space bar to launch the skunk and press space bar again to make me stink! Gas comes out from his ass and infects anyone who comes in contact with the gas.  Press space bar to make it blow up which can take off a maximum of 15 points of damage.  For the unlucky worms who got infected by the skunk, it will take off 5 points of damage after each turn unless they get a health crate.

Ming Vase: Ming vase is used like a dynamite and after it countsdown it explodes and pieces of china glass fly out and explode on contact with something.  I don't know the exact damage of each piece of china but my estimate would have to be 50 maximum each.

Carpet Bomb: Launch the carpet bomb like an air strike and watch 5 carpets fall down onto the land and bounce and boom and bounce and boom and bounce and boom and bounce and boom and....you get the point.  Each carpet explodes 5 times.  I don't know the exact damage of each but my estimate would have to be 50 maximum each.

Mad Cow: Some people use this for their special weapon.  Launch the mad cow and it will explode after a certain amount of time or if it hits a piece of land sticking up that it can't climb or hits a worm or barrel. Each cow does maximum I think of 50 damage.  Old Woman: Much like the salvation army, you just press space and watch the old granny walk to her destination.  Wait for the time limit or press space bar to make her explode.  I think she takes off a maximum of 75 damage points.

Concrete Donkey: In Full Wormage games, it is one of the most used weapons because it's so damn huge (not to mention cheap).  Click the spot where you want it to drop from the skies and it will just keep stomping away and blowing up the land until it reaches the water.  No particular damage taken off... there's no need it'll kill anything in its path anyways.

Indian Nuclear Test: Just press space bar to launch it, and watch the water rise a fair distance and make everybody on the map sick, losing 2 health after each turn, unless you're frozen.

Armageddon: Launch this and prepare to die.....unless you are protected by a hell of a lot of land or girders.  Lets just say a shitload of comets come and blow up a shitload of the level.

Skip Go: Skip your turn.

Surrender: Surrender your team for that round (people can still blow up your worms holding their little white flags, it's quite fun actually).

Select Worm: Press space bar, and then press tab as many times as you want to select which worm you would like to use.

Freeze: Freeze all your worms until your next turn.  When someone freezes, go up to the worm whos turn it is next, and those a petrol bomb at him.  He will start, and automatically start burning and lose his turn.

Pasty's Magic Bullet: Used just like a homing pidgeon, and people say that it's not as stupid but it is damn it! It can do a maximum of 100 damage.
