| Rikku is Yuna's cousing and an Al Bhed. The Al Bhed are a race of people in Spira who speak a different language, which can be deciphered by obtainging the Al Bhed Primers. Al Bhed enjoy tinkering with machines, or "machina", and they have started an excavation in Bikanel Desert to unearth ancient machina to study in hopes of one day improving thier current use and one day make thier own. The Gullwings' ariship, the Celsius, is a unique piece of machina. Rikku and her brother, appropriatly named "Brother", have turned the machina in a first class flying machine. Rikku was one of Yuna's guardians in the fight agains Sin and aided her in bringing about the Eternal Calm. Now that Yuna has left her village in search of fun and adventure, Rikku is dedicated to helping her cousin find exitement, even at the risk of getting in trouble. |
