My Trip to Turku....

"During my travel with some of my international friends (Falk, Simone, Autumn), we stopped by in a city called Turku. 

Not Turkey!!   Yes Turku...."

" We arrived at Turku during the evening, and the sun was almost setting, but the city was still lively....

Ah.... yes..... did I mention that although many people at home have been telling me that I should travel Europe while I am there..... but little do they know that just a small trip to Helsinki and Turku had taken a lot out of me already!! 

But hey.... it was fun anyway!  "

"  Due to the lack of lighting, you can't really see the Turku Cathedral that is on this picture, but you can the inside of the church much more clearly in the following picture...."

" I tend to dislike going to a church and taking pictures of the church, because it's supposed to be a Holy place..... The thing was.... many of these Cathedrals in Europe are mostly very TOURIST-oriented. 

I pray to God that somehow the churches in Europe would fulfill their commission, to provide nurturing for the people to hear God's Words, as they should."

Here's the peak of Turku during the night,  where there are still quite a lot of people walking on the streets, eating at the Grill-Kiosk (it's something like a hot-dog stand), and just moping around.....

Big cities like Turku and Helsinki is so lively..... but not as lively as Toronto, or Montreal....  But, yah, it sure feels like home in these BIG cities! "
