Ariel is the exact middle child of seven children. She grew up on a ranch in California, and has an affinity for nature and culture. She has many talents and interests which are mostly artistic, such as writing, music, cooking, painting, and reading, and outdoor activities such as horseback riding, hiking, cycling and camping. She currently attends Brigham Young University majoring in Anthropology with emphasis in Archaeology. She will be attending Field School this upcoming spring in Escalante, Utah. She plans to graduate in December of 2004, and begin looking into grad schools.
