| Since the dawn of the motion picture, film producers have looked towards the works of William Shakespeare for film inspiration. (Versions of Romeo and Juliet from as early as 1900 can be found.) The 1990's have brought an influx of contemporized versions of the Bard's plays. Three such films are 10 Things I Hate About You, William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet, and Hamlet. This website is devoted to looking at what this does to the original texts and the way these films are marketed to a teenage audience. | |||||||||||||||||||||
