*ILLADELPHIA*

Aiight...one of the things that annoys me the most is when people claim they are from a major city but when in fact they really aren't. I first experienced this at Georgetown University.

Here it goes - I arrived at Georgetown University early in August to help a friend move in. While in the elevator, I met some kid who said he was from Philadelphia. I quickly thought, "Wow, I just got here and I already met someone from Philadelphia!" So I quickly asked him where in Philly he was from and he said this: "Well if you get on the 611, keep going, take the first exit and I'm the first town outside of Philadelphia."

Similar to the kid above, I met other people who claimed they were from Philadelphia or some other major city, but when you ask them where they are from, they are really from some suburban city. I HATE WHEN THIS HAPPENS! THIS SH*T PISSES ME OFF!

After meeting 10 people, I realized that whenever they said they were from a major city, I would never believe them. Instead of asking them, oh where in Philadelphia (or any other major city), I just ask them: "Are you really from Philadelphia or do yo live "near" Philadelphia?" and then what do you know, they are no where near Philadelphia!

So far, out of all the people I met who claimed they were from Philly, no one was really from Philly. When I asked them where in Philly they were from, these are the following responses I received:

So in conclusion: PLEASE DO NOT CLAIM YOU ARE FROM A MAJOR CITY IF YOU REALLY AREN'T. I hate when this happens! I might as well say I'm from Alaska and when people ask me where in Alaska I'm from, I'll say: "Oh I'm not really from Alaska, I'm from Philadelphia." Just say, "Oh I live in "X" town which is NEAR "X major city". Please use that following format and fill in the blanks! Is that too much to ask??!!!
