  Valgav is the last of the Race of the Ancient Dragons called the Altier. The gold dragons were afraid of how powwerfull the Altier couldbecome so they sent hunters out to find and murder the Altier. Valgaav managed to escape the massecre but he was on his last thread of life. Then Gaav a Mzoku lord came acroos him. He killed Val and then brought him back to life by giving him a body of part Mozoku and part dragon.
  So now Valgaav is half mozoku andhalf dragon. When ever he turns into a dragn he expierences excrutiating pain. His form is really wicked looking, if I do say so myself.
  So Valgaav Highly respects Gaav. But then Lina(with the help of Phibrizzo) kills Gaav off which makes Valgaav really really mad. So valgaav seeks out the Mozoku lord Dark Star.
Of courseValgaav suceeds in resurecting Darkstar, but then of course Dark star Possesed Valgaav, giving him an even meaner lookin form. Thers a bi battle and Lina kills Darkstar/ Valgaav. But instead of Valgaav dyin he is reborn(for the second time) as a baby and Filia takes care of him.

  Filia is a priestess of te Gold Dragons and her main goal is to prevent the prophecy of the ressurection ofDarksatr from coming to reality. Filia sought out to find Luna Inverse but instead had to do with Lina because Luna didnt want to leave her job as a waitress.
Filia dislikes Xelloss very much. She gets angry even when he just smiles at her. When this happens she pulls out her mace to  deal with him. Filia has also used this on Gourry because he kept on looking up her skirt to see her tail.
  Valgaav is very important to Filia. One time he barged in and told them that the dragons killed his kind(the Altier). Filia at first didnt believe it but later after questioning Saichriroh, Filia found outthat her kind did kill the Altier to get the fifth light weopon.
