Welcome to the page I've set aside for my artwork, such as it is. I'm no professional -- I haven't even taken any classes -- but I like to think that I'm fairly proficient with paper and pencil.
I've split the following up into categories. As you'll see, I am indeed a major geek.
Fantasy
The Beast of Averoigne. From the short story of the same name by Clark Ashton Smith. I, uh, I drew this in the middle of a club meeting in school on the back of a handout...
Dagon. The Demon Prince of the Lightless Depths. The figure on the left (the hideous tentacled thing) is his true form, and the figure on his right (the handsome merman) is the form he takes when he appears to his cultists. I'm told that this one looks like Cthulhu with an elf thrall, or something.
Yuan-ti. Evil creatures descended from a mingling of humans and snakes somehow. The one on the left is a halfblood (temple guard/general henchman), and the one on the right is an abomination (high priest). There are also purebloods (diplomats), who look like humans, but I didn't draw one. Originally I drew the abomination with just one arm, like he was some kind of mutant freak or something, but he looked too much like Trogdor the Burninator so I added the other one.
Comics
Aviators. A pair of WWI flying aces from 60s war comics, Hans von Hammer and Steve Savage.
Alan and Jay. The original Green Lantern and the Flash, Alan Scott and Jay Garrick. I like this one.
The Roman. Carmine Falcone, the villain of Batman: Year One and Batman: The Long Halloween, Gotham City's top mob boss.
Clark Kent of Earth-2. Superman's alter-ego in the alternate universe of Earth-2, where he grew old, married Lois Lane, and became the editor-in-chief of Daily Star newspaper.
Clayface. One of Batman's villains. To be honest, I think this one looks like crap. Literally.
Green Lantern's Light. In my opinion one of the best pictures I've done. I really love this.
Green Lanterns Three. From left to right: Hal Jordan, Green Lantern of Earth-1; Alan Scott, Green Lantern of Earth-2; and Power Ring, GL's evil doppelganger from Earth-3.
Johnny Thunder and his Thunderbolt. A small-time comic book character of the 1940s who is nevertheless my favorite hero of all time. A down-on-his-luck schlub with an upbeat outlook who has the power to summon the Thunderbolt, a genie who can grant his every wish.
The Joker. Mua-ha-ha. I did this for Halloween '04.
The Ventriloquist. With his murderous alter-ego, Scarface. Another Batman villain.
Golden Age Villains. A collection of the worst of the worst of Earth-2: The Gambler, Solomon Grundy, Brainwave, the Wizard, Vandal Savage, Alexei Luthor (Lex's doppelganger), and the Joker.
Danielle Reichardt. A character from a webcomic I wanted to do that never got off the ground because I'm not a very good writer. This is her in high school, but in the comic she'd have been starting college.
