CODE OF CONDUCT AND GUIDELINE

1. Every skater, coach, executive member must be in good standing with Skate Canada.
2. No refunds will be given without medical reason AND at the discretion of the Board.
3. Be sure to read the Bulletin Board for any vhanges or new information. Be sure to pick up AND READ all newsletter or handouts.
4. Dressing rooms will be labelled and open during the sessions for your use, so please use them. We ask that all garbage be placed in receptacles and dressing rooms be kept clean. Please note: DO NOT leave valuables in the dressing rooms; we are not respinsible for their loss.
5. NO FOOD, CANDY, GUM OR DRINK is allowed on the ice.
6. Ice surface doors MUST be kept closed at all times during sessions.  PARENTS: IF YOUR SKATER NEEDS YOU WE WILL FIND YOU.
7. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND COURTEOUS TO OTHER SKATERS ON THE ICE. WATCH OUT FOR EACH OTHER. GLANCE BEHIND YO BEFORE ATTEMPTING JUMPS.
8. PARENTS, please do not call a coach off the ice during a session or a lesson. If you have a comment or question meet with the coach after the class is done, OR approach a board member and they will find out what you want to know.
9. If you have a complaint please present it in writing to the Board to the attenton of the President. It will be reviewed at the next meeting and you will be contacted with a reply or decision.
10. No skater is to leave the ice surface before the end of a session without permission of either the Coach or the Ice Captain.
11. DO NOT STAND AT THE BOARDS. Parents please help your child onto the ice then proceed to the bleachers or the lobby. Standing at the boards tends to distract yound skaters and removes their focus from the lessons you paid for. You will be asked to move. Senior Skaters: don't stand at the boards talking. Keep moving on the ice. Do not stand in the middle or in groups.
12. When you fall get up promptly. However, if you are injured please stay put until a person in charge can sttend to you.
13. Guest Skating Fees are $10.00 per Freeskate. These fees apply to Club Members, as well as guests to our Club. These fees are payable before the session is skated.
14. Skaters music is to be brought to the Music Room before your session and picked up after. The Music Room is NOT responsible for your tapes. This is the skaters responsiblilty to pick them up or they will be locked up in the Music Room. THERE ARE RULES REGARDING MUSIC PLAYING POSTED THROUGHOUT THE ARENA PLEASE READ THEM. Also a note to parents please help make skating more enjoyable for all, we would appreciate your help with playing music. If you are available during your skaters session please help.
The Session that a skater registers for is the session that the skater stays in, NO MOVING UP BETWEEN, BRONZE, SILVER AND GOLD, UNLESS the skater has the permission of the board.

Gold - MUST HAVE:  Jr. Silver Freeskate OR  (2 of these three levels) Jr. Silver Skills, ALL Jr. Silver  Dances or 14 years of age.

Silver - MUST HAVE: Passed Jr. Bronze. Freeskate and ALL Prelim. dances.

Bronze - MUST HAVE: Private Coach and Stage 5 badge.

Canskate - Learn to skte for ages 5+. Private Coaching lessons will be alloweed on these sessions.

Precanskate - Learn to skate for ages 3-5. Private Coaching lessons will be alloweed on this session.
WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE OR CANCEL OFFERED SESSIONS.  WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MOVE SKATERS BASED ON REGISTRATION NUMBERS & SAFETY CONCERNS.  WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO AMEN THE QUALIFICATIONS STATED ABOVE.  ALL HOME CLUB GOLD/SILVER SKATERS MUST SKATE 3 DAYS.  ALL HOME CLUB BRONZE SKATERS MUST SKATE 2 DAYS.
In December we will be holding our traditional Christmas Exhibition.  These dates will be announced as the season progresses.  Regular skating days may be changed by the club due to changes in scheduling or if the Arena is closed due to inclement weather.  If a storm day does occur and you are sure the Arena is open, please call the Arena (727-6366).  Driving to the arena is up to your personal discretion.
There are usually two hockey tournaments that will pre-empt our ice.  At this time these dates are unavailable.
15. PARENTS PLEASE BE AWARE: Due to our insurance your NOT allowed on the ice with your skater FOR ANY REASON.
16. The Handbook, Newsletters, Notices and the Bulletin are our way uf updating YOU in regards to changes and important information. It is our responsibilty to post the news and YOUR responsiblilty to read it. That makes both our jobs easier.
17. A delinquent account WILL affect the standing of a skater with Skate Canada. A skater who is not in good standing WILL NOT be allowed to skate.
18. A skater is expected to be courteous and respectful towards coaches, the Board and volunteers. all incidences will result in a verbal warning, continued problems will result in a letter of warning, followed by a possible expulsion from the Club.
