Fundraising

We have started our fundraising campaign this year.  Each family has been given a book of tickets each worth $30.00 a piece for a trip of the month.  We are asking each family to return their stubs ASAP so that no one misses the first draw on October 15th.  Every winning ticket will be put back in towards the next month's draw.  We will also be selling chocolate bars and Regal as well for those who are interested.

Program Assistants and Music Players

We are in need of Program Assistants on the Pre-canskate and Canskate Sessions.  If you are looking for volunteer hours, by assisting on the Session you can earn Community Service hours towards your grade school and high school graduation.  We are also looking for someone to help play music on the Bronze, Silver and Gold Sessions.  Training will be provided.

Pre-Canskate and Canskate Session

On Saturdays and Sundays there will be Pre-Canskate and Canskate Sessions.  We are so excited to all of those young new skaters out there that are just learning how to skate.  We are still assessing the children and their skill level so please be patient over the next few weeks as we get started.  Our session sizes are really growing and the safety of the children is very important to us.  We are asking parents to make sure the skaters are dressed appropriately.  Please make sure they have a helmet, warm gloves and preferably waterproof pants.  Jeans are not allowed, and please make sure the skaters skates are properly tied.  Skates should be tied tighter at the bottom and slightly looser at the top.  Make sure the ankle is secure to avoid ankle skating.  At no time is a parent allowed on the ice.  If your child needs you a program assistant or coach will come and get you.  Finally, as your child earns a badge they can purchase them for $1.00 in the office.  We hope you enjoy your year!

PLEASE SEE OUR COMPETITION RESULTS TO SEE HOW ARE SKATERS DID OVER THE SUMMER COMPETITIONS.

BOARD POSITIONS AVAILABLE

We have recently had two board positions become available.   We are looking for someone who is interested in applying for those positions.  Meetings will be held approximately once per month.  Please forward complete resume to Sharon Dunwoody.
