Welcome to Figment: Online Short Story Series. Starting out as an idea for a short student film while attending Ball State University, series author Brian Koby began to elaborate the storyline to the point that a student film was no longer feasible. Instead, the idea shifted towards an online graphic comic series. With lack of natural artistic skills and contacts with those capable of creating graphic images to correspond with his storyline, Brian began thinking of how to keep this unique story alive. Finally he decided to let the reader create their own images using his words as the base. The idea of keeping the series as short stories allowed Brian to take his time creating each episode, making sure each one was the exact portion of the story he wished to tell. It also allowed him to expand the series to be bigger than originally anticipated. Brian began writing the first few parts as a teaser for friends and family. When the response was bigger than anticipated, he created a web site to host the series and allow the world to read what is quickly becoming his most notable works. Feel free to read the series by clicked an episode to your right.
