Ricky Hatton 10 DVD Career Set

Ricky Hatton is considered the pride of Manchester England. He started boxing at the age of 10 and up until he turned professional in 1997, Hatton worked as a carpet fitter for his parents.

Hatton became known for his aggressive style and excitement in the ring. After a string of wins that led to an unblemished record of 38-0, Hatton who had been criticized of being protected fought 140 pound king Kostya Tszyu in June of 2005. Hatton came into the fight a heavy underdog and many expected Tszyu to take out the Manchester native.

Hatton ended up putting on the best performance and win of his career when he was victorious after Tszyu quit on his stool before the 12th round. That win cemented Hatton into the 140 pound division and silenced all the critics.

Hatton didn't stop there, he went on to unify his IBF title and the WBA title by defeating Carlos Maussa later that year in a devastating 9th round KO. He was named Ring Magazines fighter of the year for 2005.

Hatton would then challenge himself by not only moving up to the Welterweight division, but also crossing over to US soil and fighting outside of Manchester. In his first fight at 147, he fought WBA Champion Luis Collazo and won a Unanimous Decision. Many felt Collazo had won the fight but Hatton was awarded the win.
