The Anvil Simulator
While it would be nice to have a real anvil, the price often prohibits it. A road cone can be used to make an excellent simulator. I took a large ring bolt and wrapped a coat hanger around it. This gave the cement, that would be added, something to hold on to. I then cut the cone to size, punched a hole in the top, inserted the bolt and added cement. The finished product looks great. I haven't been able to give it a hard tryout, due to some hand problems, but a try with light weight indicated it will be a tough cookie. The plastic is real slippery, much like a real anvil's metal. I also plan to make one with less of a taper, similar to the Ironmind version.
