What do we mean, "fight peace?" Well, this site originally addressed issues surrounding America's recent war with Iraq -- or, more specifically, America's recent war with the media and its attempts at degrading our military's victory in the Middle East. According to anti-war propaganda, maintaining "peace" means avoiding conflict, even if America's safety and security are at stake. "Peace" is delaying deadlines, even if Iraq plays pin-the-nuke-on-the-donkey with the United States. Well, no one makes an ass out of us. And if that means we gotta fight peace, so be it.
In this case, we're battling the "peaceful" negotiations sought by supermarket unions. We don't want grocers to reach a resolution! See, the grocery store "lifers" that are on strike are getting well-compensated by their fast-talking unions. At the same time, suffering grocery stores are hiring replacements, so now more people are employed than before! Trying to help their laborers, out-of-touch union execs have inadvertantly opened the door of the workplace to these other skilled laborers -- good people that have fallen on hard times, suffering from downsizing in respected fields like business/finance management and field technology. So, in this case, "peace" means the end of negotiation, and the sudden unemployment of all of these helpless (and helpful) Scabs! Let's keep the economy alive by making sure this dispute never dies!
