As an American I've always found it commendable that you were able to state the alliance between your nation and ours in fighting terrorism (radical Islam) better than my own president. However, I find it odd that out of the other side of your mouth it seems you cannot wait to denounce Israel for taking action to prevent future acts of murder from terrorist organizations who exist for the sole reason of butchering innocent people because they are Jews. I find this contrast to be both hypocritical and unhelpful from someone like
you who I thought had clear vision.
So let this be stated as something to consider: The terrorist beast only grew into an entity we are all now fighting because the world did very little when they were only killing Jews. Without Europe's coddling of Yasser Arafat, there may never have been a bin Laden.
To continue to allow the Arab World to foster anger in their populaces against Israel so they can avoid fixing their own problems is a mistake. Whatever 'crimes' one mistakenly feels Israel has committed against the Palestinians, the abuse their Arab cousins have heaped upon them is far worse.
I hope that in the future the words you speak about fighting terrorism and instilling hope and democracy in the Arab World are consistent with your words regarding future action by Israel to foster peace in its own backyard.

UK's Blair condemns Rantissi killing
LONDON (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Tony Blair denounced Monday the assassination of Hamas leader Abdel-Aziz al-Rantissi by an Israeli air strike in Gaza.
"We condemn the targeted assassination of Hamas leader Abdel-Aziz al Rantissi just as we condemn all terrorism including that perpetrated by Hamas," the Prime Minister told Parliament.
