Absolutes have become the moniker of tyrants and despots proclaims the liberal thinking of today. God, morality, right and wrong are all absolutes that are denounced by liberals seeking to free themselves and us from the slavery of absolutist beliefs, as it were black and white conceptualization. Therefore following this line of thinking to its’ logical conclusion, then Truth is the greatest tyranny of them all.

To the average person, truth is freedom, found by reviewing all the facts and therefore Truth is transparently self evident and the ultimate expression of liberation. People of Faith may quote this verse, "Obey the Truth, and the Truth will set you free." This concept of Truth is generally accepted in our culture, however, not by all of us. A recent line of thinking says that Truth is in the eye of the beholder. In other words, each person determines their own truth and therefore truth can mean something quite different between two people viewing the same set of facts. While on the face this concept may seem reasonable from a perspective point of view, but in comparing the outcome or conclusion of people with two different viewpoints there is an obvious contradiction. The contradiction is freedom of action for some at the cost of slavery for others.

If Truth is determined by viewpoint, then the majority of people or those in power holding that viewpoint determines the Truth at any given moment. In other words, political correctness determines the Truth at any given moment.

If Truth is what we wish it to be, then what standard can we as a society use to determine if someone is lying? Or is that the point, if there is no absolute Truth, nobody can lie, omit pertinent facts or misrepresent the facts unless it is not a politically acceptable version to the person(s) hearing it. Isn't this what is happening now? DV advocates claim child abuse is more likely with domestic abuse, i.e. men, however what they don't tell you is that 55% of child abuse is committed by Single Mothers and half of all DV is committed by women. NOW claims that men are abandoning their children and failing to take up their parental responsibility by paying child support. However, they fail to acknowledge the unsustainable levels of child support upon the poor and indigent separating them from their children. Family Law Judges claim they are acting in the Best Interests of Children according to the Law. However, when we look at the long term effects of choices imposed by Judges, we see increased crime, child abuse and poverty, along with all the other problems associated with those issues. Many of these issues would have been preventable if proper decisions were made by taking into account all the facts. In each case they omit the facts to present their Truth and it always comes at the expense of another.

Why are liberals determined to re-define Truth. The Truth encompasses all the facts and is transparent without an agenda. Truth determined by viewpoint is not transparent, it has a hidden agenda lurking beneath the surface of the omitted facts. The determination of liberals to re-define Truth is measured by their willingness to impose their viewpoint upon our culture without regard to the consequences of their beliefs. The Truth for them is determined by the agenda (political correctness) they wish to push at any given moment. As an example, to the DV activist and Feminist organizations such as NOW the agenda is ending the traditional cultural view of family by removing men from a position of influence from the family due to their belief that marriage is men's institution for enslaving women. Any substantive discussion with DV activists and Feminists will center upon their perceived victimization by men. Family Law Judges fall into two camps, those who support the feminist model of marriage and engage in punitive retribution and those who support the paternal view of marriage with the stereotype that women can not live by their choices thus requiring support payments and men are not good parents. In either case, Judges use the stereotype to justify discriminatory rulings for their agenda of benefiting of women.

Is it any wonder then that Liberals omit the facts and claim that conservatives are absolutist, intolerant and narrow minded when we insist on considering all the facts. This is the difference between liberalism and conservatism of today, liberals start with a belief system then only gather the facts to support their point of view while conveniently dismissing others.
