| In the wake of the recent cases of Anthrax in United States yet another new term bio terrorism has been coined. Bioterrorism is a kind of terrorism in which terrorists use biological and chemical weapons. These weapons do not require the use of advance technology, their sources are very hard to find and these weapons can be used to eradicate nations and civilisations from the wake of earth. Its ironic that we have identified this kind of terrorism now it has been present since a very long time. It has and is eating our human resources and this terrorism is functioning in each and every country of the world. The weapons employed in this kind of terrorism are not anthrax spores but are indeed drugs. Drugs are addictive substances that stimulate the central nervous system. Drug dependance is a psychological and sometimes physical state characterised by a compulsion to take a drug in order to exerience its psychological effects. Addiction is a severe form of dependence usually marked by physical dependence. The continuing war against terrorism is resulting in large number of refugees to Pakistan. These people are seen consuming various life threatening drugs. We need to take some serious action in order to fight this menace. The war against terrorism should not allow the drugs to thrive. The war against terrorism should go hand in hand with " Fight against Drugs " . The consumption of Opium was common in the 19th century. When De Quiency's most famous work " Confession of an English Opium eater was written , opium could be bought cheaply from a pharmacist without any presscription. The extract below has been taken from the book it completely describes the mental agetation of a drug user. .................... "upon the rocking waters of the ocean the human face began to appear , the sea appear paved with innumerable number of faces upturned to the heavens faces imploring wrathful depairing surged upwards by thousands by myraids by generation by centuries my agitation was infinite my mind tossed and surged with the ocean" . De Quiency was lucky enough to pen down his emotions many drug users keep their emotions bottled up inside the dark crevices of their mind which constantly eat them mentally and physically.
