In 2005 !!!
Task Forty Three:
Audition For A Reality TV Show
Aim:

Quite a simple aim. Audition for a reality TV show.

Outcome:

Date: Saturday February 6th 2005.
Venue: Edinburgh Corn Exchange
Show: Big Brother
.

Arriving at about 2pm, Myself and my friends Lynn and Hayley queued for about 3 hours. The queue was the best part of the day. As you will undoubtedly know, task 11 involves changing my name by deed poll to "The Flash". Well in the freakiest of co-incidences, the dude behid me in the big bro q, was also called  "Flash", note no 'The' as a nickname by his mates. In general the atmosphere was quite queit. Although throughout the day we did see 7 or 8 naked men, a glamour model and a porn star being thrown out of a pub!

Our small group was by far the best in the queue, aswell as my 2 amigo's there was Flash, his friend Alan who filmed everything for a documentary he was making, a guy in a kilt who kept flashing people and a little red riding hood look-a-like. We entertained ourselves through song, dance, mexican waves, by finding Chesney Hawkes look-a-likes and making them dance from us and by encouraging homosexuals and neds to fight. Ah, shellsuit Bob!

We were eventually taken into a room in groups of 10 and asked why people would watch us on Big Brother and why Big Brother should pick us as one of  it's 12 contestants.I told the lovely people from Endemol all about my 52 tasks, I lied slightly by telling them task 43 was to
appear on Big Brother and not simply audition for it.
My namesake however stripped off to a monkey g-string and performed "the worm". Please do not email me to ask what the worm is. He however was interviewed before me, so when I informed them about being called The Flash, it did appear that I had copied him.

Eventually, Big Bro chose him over me. His friend Alan was also chosen as my good mate Lynn. Hayley and i being kicked to the kerb. Later I was to find out that even shellsuit Bob made the second stage!!! Alan and Flash were eliminated at the second stage, but Lynn stayed for a good few hours and was selected as one of the final 50 contestants from the Scottish stage! She has to return for a second audition tomorrow. I'll keep you all posted on herprogress!
But alas, this was the first task I have completed and I am more than happy to have started the ball rolling!

Low Point Of Task: Discovering Flash.

High Point Of Task: Watching a teamfull of  kids run full pelt into a perspex window at the side of their 5-a-side pitch when the glamour model was having her photo taken by the Daily Mail!

Evidence: None to post as of yet, but witness testimony from Hayley and Lynn will be presented.

Also, the DAil Mail took many photo's of the event. Obviously not all will be used, but the final one was of the reporter who was writing a story about the audition. I figured this one would be used and stood behind his right shoulder as the snap was taken. It should be in Mondays edition.

Okay, the picture has been placed just below.

It's been blown up a bit!!!! Unfortunately I must have got my angles wrong, as there is a big hairy guy standing infront of where I should be!!! (Over the reporters right shoulder - your left!!), but If you look at the space between the reporters left shoulder and the smiling freak, you will see part of Lynns forehead. Pictured below.

So there you are!!! Extensive yet somewhat blurry proof, that I auditioned for Big Brother!!!
