| Task Eleven: Change My Name By Deed Poll To: "The Flash" |
| Aim: To legally change my name to THE FLASH. The UK Deed Poll Service advises that a Deed Poll (or a "Deed Of ChangeOf Name" to give it it's proper title) contains three declerations and by executing the Deed Poll you are commiting yourself to: 1) Abandoning the use of your former name; 2) Using your new name ONLY, at all times; 3) Requiring all persons to address you by your new name. You are legally binding yourself to use your new name. You cannot change your name to one that makes others believe that you have coferred or inherrited honour, title or rank. Therefore no: Lord, Prince, Baron, General etc. Fun names, such as "The Flash" are okay, Deed Polls have been issued to: Hong Kong Phooey, Father Christmas and Save Barnsley FC! After Changing Your Name By Deed Poll, you must inform many orginisations, including: Your Employer; Inland Revenue; Doctor; Dentist; DVLA; Passport Office; Bank; TV Licencing; and the Police (If you are on the sex offenders register). I vow to change my name, and keep it as THE FLASH, for at least two months and will provide evidence including the deed itself and a scan from my passport or driving licence. |
