Explanation of "Fifty Fifty"

Each year, Keokuk Middle School, students take the National Geography Bee (class level).
There are fifty questions to the test and the top ten from each grade get selected to compete
at the school level.  When I took the test, I got fifty questions correct out of the possible
fifty.  That hadn't happened in twelve years.  Because of my accomplishment, people began
to call me "fifty fifty" for fifty questions correct out of fifty.

I made it to the school level, of course.  And I won that level, with only a 38 out of 50 this time.
I would have advanced to the state level (which is next after school level), but I didn't have
transportation available.
