then came the decision for the color. Richard wanted egg plant purple, but Martha had other ideas, she wanted turqoise and white, well after a long disscusion ,she won.So into the paint booth I went and got six coats of turqoise. Mike wasn't too happy with the results so he called Richard & Martha to come and look at me.The color wasn't right so Richard told Mike to paint me egg plant purple. But Mike and his keen eye said, "Let me try something first" . Then he mixed up a batch of pearl and gave me five coats of pearl over the turqoise. "WOW" what a diference. Mike then added pearl white scallops with pink pin striping. My personality was starting to take shape.
Paul Rick of Pro Glass took care of the glass work. I was then ready to have my trim replaced and then I was off to Long Beach upholstery. It was there that I had the full treatment of turquoise and pearl white , Tuck "N" Roll.
I was picked up on Friday. Saturday, I was on my way to a car show hosted by Sothern California Late Great Chevys in Escondido,where I won the first of many trophies. more...... |
