During season two, our favorite group of podsters discovered that they each had a duplicate. This was an identical group of aliens that were raised in the sewers of New York. They were street-smart, punkish, and, in some cases, cruel.

The exception to that rule was Ava.

Ava was Tess's duplicate, and in the episode Max in the City, she helped Liz and Isabel to save Max from Lonnie and Rath's plot to kill him. This endeared her to the Roswell community, even though she largly remained a mystery.

Well, Outcasts were born from the possiblities of who she was and what she might have become to Alex if allowed the chance.
