Juggernaut
n. 1. Something, such as a belief or institution, that elicits blind and destructive devotion or to which people are ruthlessly sacrificed. 2. An overwhelming, advancing force that crushes or seems to crush everything in its path: "It doesnt assume that people need necessarily remain passive when confronted by what appears to be the juggernaut of history" (Christopher Lehmann-Haupt).
Juggernaut
This seems too big for me
Hulking monstrosity
Too late to get out now
And like the speed of sound
This thing has brought me down
I dont remember how
I want to be free but Juggernaut is killing me
Freedom like a song
The weak shall be made strong
I may sink before I swim
But I'm not giving in to you
Juggernaut
Beneath machinery
Specter of treachery
And I've lost everything
And I am getting out
The shadow of my doubt
Is suffocating
My own worst enemy, this Juggernaut is killing me
Freedom like a song
The weak shall be made strong
I may sink before I swim
But I'm not giving in to you
From machines that I have made
I've become the slave
But I've been carried along
Freedom like a song
Freedom lifts me like a song
When the weak shall be made strong
I may sink before I swim
But I'm not giving in to you
The weak shall be made strong
I may sink before I swim
But I'm not giving in to you
Juggernaut
Comments: By far my favorite song on the album musically, and one of my two favorites on the album as a whole. A song I think that we all can relate to, it shows the struggles we face, our weaknesses against the things that fight against us the hardest, and the overcoming freedom and victory that Jesus Christ brings. While we may not be able to withstand under the pressure of a juggernaut, God can strengthen us and deliver us and carry us through every struggle.
