The California Consolidated Drum Band marches towards the fort. Elizabeth is the fifer on the far right.

Mike pipes the 79th past the old mill towards the battlefield. Joel is the Private on the far right.

The 79th New York and friends at attention. Joel and David can be seen on the right, smiling bemusedly at the batallion Sergeant Major as he gets "buddy buddy" with our own Sergeant.
May ~ Roaring Camp
The 79th New York forms up for an official photograph.
The Ladies of the 79th join the soldiers. Look at all the pretty colours!
July ~ Duncans Mills
The ladies wander towards the battlefield to watch the fight and root root root! Carrol and Elizabeth in the middle.
September ~ Nevada City
The photo is fuzzy, but here is the bass drum line of the California Consolidated Drum Band playing for the Constitution Day's Parade. Chris, Don and Joel.
Yet another fuzzy photo of the full corps, Jack, Marty, Elizabeth and Chris the front row of fifers.
October ~ Modesto
One battle scenario called for the Union Army to be caught off guard and ambushed by the Confederates. So what better way to relax than bringing out the fiddle and playing a bit? Joel is with his trusty instrument on the left, and when the Army was overrun, he sacrificed his rifle to keep the fiddle safe while retreating.
