Darren Hill made his first team debut Today and the match could hardly have started any more lively for him.  Three times in the first three minutes the home defence were caught out and three times Daz came to the rescue.  The best of these chances fell to Nacho Novo.  Kevin Christie held off the challenge, waiting for Hill to come off his line.  Novo eventually found his way past, he looked to have rounded Darren Hill but the youngster got a quick hand down to save the blushes.  Ricky Waddell almost made it 1-0 just before the break unfortunatly his chip over the keeper was cleared off the line.  There was nothing to pick between the sides at the interval although Jocky Scott will feel his side had the best of the play.  For almost all of the second half it was all about Falkirk and they broke the deadlock nine minutes after the break when Lee Miller found himself in space on the adge of the area, he blasted home a half volley that left Sammy Monin stumped.  After 63 minutes the Bairns made it 2 whe Lee Miller grabbed his second of the match.  His initiall header was saved by Monin but Miller reacted quickest to flick the ball home from 6 yards.  17 minutes before the end Andy "wing-nut" Smith pulled a goal back for the un-washed visitors but it proved to be to little to late for Rovers.
STAFFORD'S FINAL THOUGHT
I think we can expect more games like this between now and the end of May.  It's gonna take hard work from every single player in the team if we're going to avoid relegation.  On the whole I was impressed with Darren Hill today.  One old guy I met outside the ground summed it up perfectly, he said "I liked the way he was quick off his line.  It was his box".  How true it is that so many times in the past we've lost goals because if nervous goal-keeping from Myles.  Don't get me wrong, Myles Hogarth cannot be blaimed for the poor showing from the team but a chancge somewhere in the team was needed.  Well done Alex Totten, it was a brave decision to make but he made it and by the looks of things so far it was the right decision to make.
