With Arbroath on a high following there opening day win over Ross County Falkirk had there work cut out considering our poor result against Ayr.  It didn't take long before Falkirk took the lead, after a few missed chances from Kenny Deuchar Lee Mair released John Henry through on goal.  Keeper Craig Hinchcliffe saved his shot but the ball fell to the feet of Mark Kerr on the edge of the box, his shot found the bottom left hand corner via a slight deflection.  Arbroath did fight back for a while and they got themselves back on level terms through Paul Brownlie.  A blilliantly worked move ended with Kevin Heenan crossing from the right and ex-Raith Rovers man Brownlie made no mistake in bulleting home the header.  Falkirk took the lead again before the break when John Henry crossed from Steve Watson, he big mid-fielder controled the ball on the chest before blasting home a close range shot.
Half Time : Falkirk 2-1 Arbroath
Falkirk came out in the second half on guns blazing and got another goal with half an hour remaining, substitute Steven Craig was brought down in the box by keeper Craig Hinchcliffe.  Steve Watson stepper up and placed the penalty perfectly into the bottom right hand corner.  It was 4-1 before long, Andy Lawire ran from the edge of the box and beat two players when he realised he'd ran too far wide a squared it back for Steven Craig who gratefully tapped in to make it 4-1.
