Falkirk started the match brightly and dominated the opening 15 minute.  Ross County scored a couple of goals in the space of a minute to knock the stuffing ut of the Bairns and that's how it stayed until half time.  Although Paul Wright had the first chance of the match when he broke free in the box but fired a dismall shot down the middle and straight into Tony Bulloks arms.County could have grabbed the all important first goal when Steve Hislop rounded Myles Hogarth only to have his shot cleared off the line.   County scored roughly in the half hour mark when Alex Bone powered in a close range header.  Although it looked like the otherwise disappointing Lee Mair cleared it off the line, the linesman gave the goal.  Bone scored his second of the match less than a minute later when Alex Bone colleted a loose ball which had been dropped by Myles Hogarth and passed it into the net.  Bone could have had a third soon after but he failed to conect from close range with Steve Hislops cut back.  Half Time : Falkirk 0-2 Ross County
Falkirk came out in the second 45 minutes and played some of the best football they've played this season.  Ricky Waddell hit the bar from the edge of the box just after the break before John Henry fired in a deflected shot from 20 yards.  John Henry hit the post before the Bairns equalised.  Steven Rennie got his first goal at senior level when he fired in a half volley from the edge of the box.  Andy Lawrie put the Bairns ahead just minutes later when he stabbed home a corner form Ricky Waddell.  Falkirk hit the woodwork again and it was Ricky Waddell again.  His close range effort came back off the upright and was cleared away.  Falkirk wrapped it up in style, Ricky Waddel was rewarded for all his efforts when his diving header found the back of the net from close range.  It could have been 5 minutes later wen Lee Miller's overhead kick hit the top of the bar.  Paul Wright should have scored his second of the season minutes before the end when he ran half the length of the park un-marked.  His initial shot was saved by Tony Bullock and so was his overhead kick that followed.
