| Falkirk went out with a squad which included Jamie Clark (who's just received international clearance), Gary McStay, Ricky Waddell, Lee Miller, Kenny Deuchar and Darren Hill but surprisingly just didn't put on a show. It was obviously was the first kick of the ball that Stenhousemuir actually wanted to win the game (as they played a full strength squad) where as the Falkirk lads were simply out for a warm up. Darren Hill was partly to blame for Stenny's first goal. He pulled off a top class diving save only to poke the ball over the line when he was lying on the ground. The second and third goals were down to bad defending and it could have been more as Stenhousemuir were awarded a panalty just after half time only to have the decision overturned by the linesman Willy Weir. I do feel that Falkirk only have thenselves to blame for not winning the match I have to point out the crap refereeing by Brian Cassidy. |
