This car was the first Fiesta convertible that many people would have ever seen as it featured in the January 1996 issue of Performance Ford. |

Pictured right is Wayne Dixon who owned the car at the time and was responsible for restoring the car to its former glory. The new hood and special Fly stripes above the XR stripes had to specially made as items for such a limited run of cars are simply not available off the shelf. |

This shot of the interior clearly shows the metal strips which had to be fitted to the tops of the door window glass in an attenpt to get a water seal with the hood. |

I took this photo at Ford Fair in 1999 where Wayne had the car up for sale. The asking price was �3500. He did eventually sell it to an enthusiast in Sheffield who has also now sold it on apparently. The cars current whereabouts is unknown. |
