| This XR2 based Fly was at Ford Fair in 1994 when I took the above picture. I can remember chatting to the owner at the time who said his wife used it for shopping and running the kids to school!! Their school mates must have been green with envy. Much more stylish than any of the 4x4 brigade. | |||||||||||||||||

| In May 1998 A66 SJD reappeared in an article on the Fly in Classic Ford magazine alongside YPJ 60Y,a 1.3 Ghia. Both cars were owned at the time by Barry Priestman who was/is Chairman of the Crayford Convertible Car Club. He'd only just bought the car at the time of the article.The car had turned up at a show for sale and Barry decided to buy it, making it the 4th Fly he's owned according to the feature. I've not seen anything of the car since then. |
