| Here we have the first soft top Fiesta I ever saw. It was September 1993 at the XR Owners Club national day at the Snibston Discovery Park near Coalville in Leicestershire. A465 GVR was parked in the "unusual XR" section with a Cortina XR6 and Sierra XR8, both South African models. The yellow poster in the windscreen mentioned the fact that only 23 Flys were made.This fact seems to be a bit of a myth as there has never been any definate proof of the build quantity.I even heard a rumour that Crayford never kept any records. |

| I'm not 100% certain the photo on the left is actually of GVR. I found it on the net as part of a show scene a few years ago.If it is the same car (only the XR sticker and A reg plate and colour lead me to believe it is) then the special Fly graphics have vanished. | ||||||||||||
