To me this is hard because there is so much and I think I might leave something out. Elisabeth Braddock was born to be a lady which thank god didn�t happen.

If life had permitted her to be proper than we wouldn�t have our loveable kickass Psylocke. From even before her and her brother�s birth a future was told of a hero who would save the world. And well instead of just one their were two.

Brian became Captain Britain, England�s Captain America, and Elisabeth joined S.T.R.I.K.E. (a British version of the C.I.A.) Alas Betsy had another calling to her heart and began her modeling career. Reining queen over major magazines Betsy soon became an elite top-model. Yes there is a lot I�m probably cutting out but hey I said its hard. Later with Brian passing on the title of Captain Britain over to his sister a new champion stood for England. Elisabeth Braddock: top model and ferocious hero. But this wasn�t Betsy destiny, in the end she was defeated and blind.

Alone and trapped in darkness, Betsy turned to her mutant ability of telepathy to �see� through a new set of eyes. (New Mutants Annual #2) While regaining her strength in Switzerland, a new foe called Mojo brainwashed Betsy and gave her artificial eyes. (The panels with Betsy under Mojo�s control are very scary to me..hah!) She was put on displayfor Mojo�s little television show where the New Mutants soon save her. This also is the beginning of Doug Ramsey infatuation with our Psylocke. Later with the X-men (Uncanny X-men #213: a must have for every psylocke fan) Betsy goes through a tough battle with Sabretooth which in victory made her officially by Wolverine as an X-man.

The biggest event I think ever to happen in the history of Psylocke was when she switched bodies. How confusing to be in two bodies and have four minds. After coming through the Siege Perilous Elisabeth Braddock was found on the docks in Hong Kong by an elusive ninja named Kwannon. With a single touch the two souls intertwined and fused together. Living their lives in chaos the two women shared every memory but not knowing of their true bodies. (X-men #22)

Life for Betsy, now Asian, still continued to be an adventure. (Uncanny X-men #256) Lord Mandarin, head of a group for global domination, brainwashed Betsy into the formable opponent Lady Mandarin. (I love the cover of Uncanny X-man #257 with Logan in a headlock)

And later the Legacy Virus struck the world and her original body was infected. Kwannon died leaving Betsy the eyes Mojo implanted which spied on the X-men by Mojo. After another nasty little encounter with Sabretooth left Betsy on the brink of death. Now comes in the Crimson Dawn. Warren and Logan go off to find this mystical force called Crimson Dawn. In a nutshell, she fully recovers and with a tattoo on her face plus a new ability she can now move through shadows.

Once again a price is paid for being a hero. (X-men#77-#78 PsiWar pt.1 and 2)

The team met up with one of Storm�s old enemy called Shadow King. Betsy trapped him on the astral plane and in doing so could never use her telepathy for fear he would escape. Somehow through the wonder of Marvel she did develop telekinesis.

So suddenly and horrify the MEN at Marvel decided to do away with our prized beloved character. Now through the timeless efforts of some remarkable fans, Betsy has risen from the dead.
