The G-list was conceived in the summer of 2000 by me, littlewillow, as a means of keeping track of the many male celebrities
I have come to know through their talents. I have now expanded it to include my summer of 2001 picks. When and wherever possible, I have included
interesting and useful links to learn more the corresponding G-lister. Hope you enjoy. This page doesn't have any large graphics, in the hopes
that it will load faster on slower systems.
I want to add a gallery of all my G-list fellas - so watch for an update soon.
Please send me feedback either by e-mailing me or go back
to the main entry page of the Fields of Eden and sign my guestbook. Thanks for visiting.

2001 G-listers (this year's list of honors)
Nick Rhodes
- Nick is currently the only remaining founding member of Duran Duran to have been with the band continuously since its inception in 1978. Update: the original five-man
lineup will be reuniting for a world tour, hopefully in 2002, and are currently being courted by several major record labels. We *hope* for a new album by the end of the year, but the new single will be...ta-DA...called "Bedroom Toys." Am I the only who finds that name slightly stimulating? LOL.
- Nick Rhodes and Duran Duran - Related Links
- the fields of eden - my cyber Duran Duran playground.
- littlewillow's fave DD links - self-explanatory. you can also pick up a snazzy banner while you're there.
- duranduran.com - you can't go wrong with the official site for Duran Duran.
- Nick Rhodes Is God - Amber's site is a plethora of eye candy related to, who else - Nick Rhodes! she has a fetish for Nick's shoes so you should
probably check out the "Footage" section.
Dave Gahan
- Dave Gahan is the ultra-confident, ultra-sophisticated lead singer of Depeche Mode, that electronica band that everyone
seemed to like in the '80s.
- I honestly haven't done much research on Depeche Mode but I would assume the best place to start is depechemode.com. for April Fool's,
their webmaster went through the trouble of reversing everything on the main page so it looked backwards. talk about dedication!
Mike Mills
- Mike is the long-time bassist for alternative rock band R.E.M.
- I just had to put him on this list, since I had a very cool dream about him this summer.
- I'm liking the blonde hair and spectacles, Mike!
George Orwell
- He's the only one on my G-list this time around who's not alive anymore. At least we still have his works to enjoy.
- George Orwell is my favorite author of all time. My favorite book I've read by him is The Orwell Reader. But he's also known, probably more
famously for as well, for writing Animal Farm and the subversive 1984.
- His real name was Eric Blair - George Orwell was a carefully thought out pen name. My alter-ego in my 'N Sync fanfics was Erica Blair. Coincidence? You decide.
Jamie Oliver (aka the Naked Chef)
- I love the way this guy cooks! He can't be much older than me, which adds to his appeal. He's got a lot of energy
and makes cooking actually look easy! Jamie Oliver is no Martha Stewart but he gets the job done with gusto.
- I have yet to check the Food Network's website but I figure
they have to have pages on "The Naked Chef" and his new show for the fall, "Pukka Tukka."
Tiger Woods
- Okay, who hasn't heard of Tiger Woods?
- I watch a lot of golf on the weekends - and stop saying that I'm pathetic. Watching golf is incredibly relaxing. Try it sometime.
- I have no idea where to look for Tiger's stats but I would assume ESPN has to have something
on this prodigy.
2000 G-listers (last year's list of honors)
Joshua "J.C." Chasez
- J.C. is one-fifth of the pop supergroup of 'N Sync.
- my 'N Sync appreciation site is here unfortunately
I haven't updated in ages. in part to do with my recent fascination with John Taylor and Duran Duran.
- for official news, go to nsync.com
- sadly, my interest has waned in 'N Sync. mostly b/c I don't like their new R&B, hip-hop sound. I will always remember the first two albums with
great affection as being an integral part of my undergraduate college years.
Edward Norton

- littlewillow's tribute to Edward Norton - my online homage to the greatest actor of our generation. photo gallery, little-known facts, bio, links, and more.
- edward-norton.org - Susan (flatbroke) has made this amazing page. I currently am on the VCR alert and projects mailing lists - which keeps me
up to date with what Edward Norton is doing personally and professionally. These are the lists to join if you want to keep up with his new
film projects and TV appearances.
- Signature Theatre, NYC - update: - Edward Norton is going to be in the Signature's production of "Burn This" starring him opposite Catherine Keener ("Being John Malkovich," "Death to Smoochy"). Guess what? I got 3rd row tickets for the August 31st matinee. I hope to have a review up here after Labor Day weekend.
John Taylor
- he is probably best known as the bassist of the '80s synth-pop British powerhouse, Duran Duran.
- he was a founding member of the band (1978) and stayed on until 1997, to pursue a solo career and tour with his band, John Taylor Terroristen.
- in addition to music, John has stepped into the limelight as an actor, in the Allison Anders film, "Sugar Town" (1998), playing an aging '80s rocker eager to find fame in the '90s (talk about typecasting).
- John is the only guy I can think of, famous or otherwise, that can get away with such a strategically-placed blonde highlight in his hair, and still look as debonair as ever. (he just turned 40 you know - and he still looks gorgeous as ever!)

- Trust the Process - official solo site (aka http://www.johntayloronline.com). a great recent photo gallery, and he even provides his fans some insight

- MinDDilation - this is a heavy link site but has pretty good scanned pics and articles from recent news sources.
- have I mentioned that I have a crush on him? no matter that he's twice my age...*grin*
- he's happily married. so what's a girl to do? his former bandmate Nick Rhodes
is quite the looker. he's no John Taylor but...this is the kicker ladies...he's available!
David Byrne
- former lead singer of the '70s/'80s punk and new wave band, the Talking Heads. (remember "Burning Down the House," "Psycho Killer,"and "And She Was"?)
- since he quit the Talking Heads, he has forged a prolific solo career and started his own record label, Luaka Bop. the label's stars include, among others, alt-rock faves Cornershop and Geggy Tah.
- he recently guest-hosted MTV's Top 100 Videos of All Time, alongside LL Cool J and Slash of Guns 'N' Roses. I am telling you, the man does not age.
- Francey's TalkingHeads.Net is the place to be for Talking Heads
history, the Byrne-less Heads and Byrne-less and Harrison-less Tom Tom Club, and much more.
Elton John
- amazing, amazing musician. still going strong after three decades of being in the limelight. with no signs of slowing.
- I have his "Love Songs" CD and it's amazing. check it out!
- Elton has a new album due out - the first single's video is rather interesting. No sign of Elton at all, but it has a downtrodden
looking Robert Downey Jr. lipsynching the lyrics!
Phil Collins
- he is the only musician that me and my friends can agree on. I like his lyrics, but my friend
Jenn likes the sound of his voice.
- he was in "A Hard Day's Night." how many people can say that, huh? true, he had a bit role, but
it was a role nonetheless...
- he sang with 'N Sync - in "Trashing the Camp" for the Tarzan soundtrack. he wouldn't have sang with them unless he respected them as singers, so I
thank him for that.
Paul McCartney
Michael Nesmith

- The Monkees Official Site - the place to go for *anything* Monkees related. Pics, sounds, episode guide, bios, much more.
Jimmy Page
- he provided the guitar backbone and some amazing guitar riffs with Led Zeppelin. before that,
he provided lead guitar styling to the Yardbirds, and before that he was a session musician - and therefore
his guitar playing has probably touched hundreds of early '60s recordings.
- when he was younger, and in a skiffle band, he mentioned on national TV that he wanted to be "a biotechnologist"
and "find the cure for cancer" if it hadn't been found yet by the time he grew up - AWWW!
- he played a double-necked Gibson. not everyone can play those double-necked things. so I consider
that a major accomplishment.
- "Stairway to Heaven." "Heartbreaker." "Whole Lotta Love." 'nuff said.
