| Forcing herself to her feet, Heather gritted her teeth. Just a few feet out and down lay the battlements. With her legs shaking, she jumped. The fiery pain doubled as she landed, her legs buckling under. She rolled across the battlements, landing face up. Thorn snarled angrily before jumping after her. Landing on the slab, she ignored the pain and quickly jumped to the battlements. Stalking over to a stunned Heather, she smiled, "Where do you think your going?" Standing over Heather, Thorn suddenly had her legs swept out from under her. Landing with an outraged snarl, she watched as Heather fought to get to her feet. Reaching out, she snagged Heather's ankle, dragging her back down. In a flash, Thorn clamped her clawed hand around Heather's neck, slowly squeezing the life from her. Heather grabbed at the hand, fighting for air. But her grip was to strong, the darkness was gathering. She tried to kick her attacker away, but her legs wouldn't move. Everything went dark....... "Then what???" asked MyKai. "I don't know." Heather rubbed her forehead, trying to rid herself of a headache. "What do you mean You don't know???" said YeoZaa. Kai21 rolled his eyes as Disco slapped YeoZaa upside his head. "She was unconscious, you dope." Disco glared at YeoZaa. YeoZaa smiles sheepishly, "Oh yeah, right." "I know." All eyes turned to Lily. Lifting her head from Heather's shoulder, she wipes at her red eyes, "I know what happened.... The haze parted, like a strong breeze cutting threw the fog. Lily rolled over onto her stomach. She kept her eyes closed, trying to will the pains in her head away. After what seemed like an eternity, the pain eased and Lily opened her eyes. With shaking arms, she pushes herself up, forcing herself to her feet. Somehow, she got her legs to move. The sounds of the struggle below echoed in the near silent room. Lily staggered onto the balcony and looked down in time to see Heather use the last bits of her strength to kick Thorn's legs out from under her. She tried to get away, but Thorn was too quick. Lily did the only thing she could, she had to get help. Turning, she ran from the balcony, back inside. Throwing the door open she almost ran over Kai13, "Lily, wha??" "Heather.... help her." That was all she had to say before Kai13 rushed past her into the room. Quickly scanning the room he rushed over to the balcony. Below, Thorn had dragged the now unconscious Heather up and laid her on the outer wall of the battlements, right above the moat. With a demented giggle, she pushed Heather's legs off the wall, "Time to swim with the fishies." "NOOOO!" The screech of his brace cut the air. With it's blades still closed, it struck Thorn on the side of her head, knocking her down. Without a thought, Kai13 jumped from the balcony, landing with a sickening thump on the battlements. Paying no mind to the bones reforming in his legs, he ran over as Heather sled off the wall. With an iron grip, he grabbed Heather's wrist, throwing himself half over the wall. Thorn shook her head. It had only been a glancing blow that had the makings of a nasty headache in the works. Spotting Kai13 hanging over the wall, she smiled. Getting up, she watched at he reached down trying to pull Heather back up. "Now there's an idea. How about a nice moon lit dip for two?" With that she grabbed Kai13's legs and flipped him over the wall. Thorn pouted, "Darn it." She leaned over the wall, looking down at Kai13, who stubbornly held on to the wall with one hand, Heather's wrist still held in the other. Kai13 was thinking of much worse words, but refrained from saying them. He was stuck. With Heather's dead weight, combined with his own, he couldn't pull himself up. He couldn't even use his brace cause that was the arm he was holding Heather with. And now that maniac woman was smiling down at him. "Ooooo look at the piggies!!!" Thorn giggled gleefully as she leaned closer to Kai13's hand. With unnatural strength, she pried his pinky finger up, "This little piggy goes to market..." She worked at his ring finger, smiling as he tried to fight her pulling at it, "This little piggy stays home....." Thorn giggled gleefully as she pulled Kai13's ring finger away from the wall. She watched him trying hard to keep his grip on the wall. She'd have to remember this game, it was almost as fun as "Where's the Spleen?"..... almost. She paused a moment, leaning over to look at Kai13, hanging there by one hand, Heather hanging limply from his other hand. Thorn smiled "Hmmm, I wonder if the moat monsters liked salad with their meat." Kai13 seemed to pale even more then normal. It wasn't a question of if, but of when he fell, would the grindylows attack? Normally they wouldn't attack Heather but in the frenzy of the moment would they lash out. He wouldn't be much help, sense he would sink to the bottom. Hopefully Lady would be near by, she wouldn't let them hurt Heather. Thorn let out a harsh laugh before going to work on the middle finger. "This little piggy.." Suddenly, Thorn was drowned out by the harsh screech of the siren. It's shrill sound shattered the night, loudly announcing that there was an intruder. All along the castle, lights snapped on in many of the rooms, the Great Hall lite up and the sounds of running feet could be heard just out of sight down the battlements. Thorn snarled, "NO, I'm not done playing yet!!!!" Growling, she applied all of her strength to loosening Kai13's tenuous grip. Kai13 gritted his teeth, throwing all of his strength into holding on. Thorn snarled down at him, her yellow eyes growing brighter, "Why won't you die?" "Cause he's already dead." |
