| Baby scuttled along under the table. She rubbed two of her vines together, making a hissing sound that sounded a little like a chuckle. Dinner was over and people were starting to get up. Fields of Heather stood up and looked around. "Where had Baby gone?" she thought. Just then, Baby tugged on Heather's pant leg. "There you are," she said as she picked Baby up. Baby draped herself across Heather's shoulder, wrapping several vines around her neck. Heather looked down the table at dgre, who was still starring at her glass, and at VisionAri, who still had her legs pulled up to her chest. Heather shook her head and mumbled to herself, "Don't ask, just DON'T ask." Heather headed towards the stairs. "Come on Baby, time for all good little Snares to be in bed." Baby waved her vines happily. She was half way up the stairs when someone screamed. Turning she saw VisionAri flat on her back. The back two legs of her chair had given up, sending her to the floor. As Heather watched, dgre tried to get up but the back legs of her chair gave out also, dropping her to the floor. Heather shook her head even as she giggled at VA and dgre. Turning she headed upstairs. Heather never noticed Baby shaking with silent giggles as she watched VA and dgre pulling them self's up off the floor over Heather's shoulder. |
