Oddball

HunterKai sits quitely, crouched in the darkness. The forest is silent save for the soft patter of falling snow. He resists the urge to look at his watch again. What could he expect, Oddball couldn't tell time and thus never showed up on time. He remained unnaturaly still, waiting. Out of the bushes a few feet away, a sock puppet poked threw the branches. Hunterkai tryed not to smile as it looked left and right before disapearing back into the bush. From behind the bush came what resembled an anti-kai, it was hard to tell what he was with that rat's nest of tangled hair hideing part of his face. He scuttled forward on all fours untill only a foot or two away. He sat back on his heels and smiles insanely at HunterKai.

"Hey Hi Ho Hunter-wunter." said the grining clone.

"Greetings Oddball." smiled HunterKai, "How are things back home?" Oddball shook his head, sending his knotted hair swaying. "Not good, not goooooood. Naddy-daddy mad at silly bun-head brother and Ty-guy. Very loud, very very mad." HunterKai tryed not to laugh, hearing that KillerKai was in trouble was the best news he'd hear all day. "Oddball, I have a job for you."

"OOO, OOO what job, Oddball do job, nooooo problemo." Oddball rocked back and forth on his heels, his face lit up with joy at being useful. Hunter smiled slightly, "Do you remember that room with all the vials with colored labels?"

"Yup yup, pretty colors." giggled Oddball. HunterKai reached into his pocket pulling out a slip of paper and handed it to Oddball, "I want you to look for the tray with these letters one it, when you find it, copy down all the letters on the vials."

"Look for tray, copy letters, okey dokey." smiled Oddball.

"Meet me here in two days with the list, OK?"

"Rodger wilco, I do it, find room with pretty labels, look for tray, copy letters, back here in two days." Oddball smiled and bounced up and down. Suddenly he darted into the bushes and was gone.

HunterKai sighed, Oddball might be insane, but he was dependable. HunterKai felt the need to repay APEC for their help and this a good step in that direction. In just two days, they would know who amung them had and could be cloned. HunterKai made his way back to the castle, slipped back inside and made his way back to the hospital wing. Lily would be waking up soon and he wanted to be there.

Two days later.....

Things were getting too hot back home. Nadless was comeing down hard on everyone and it was getting harder for Oddball to sneak in and out of the compound. He had to pull Oddball out, he just hoped those at APEC wouldn't mind a new visitor. HunterKai steps aside as a sock puppet peeks around the open door, looking left and right it disapears. Threw the doorway tumbles a bundle of black rags. OddballKai comes to a stop and sits on the floor looking around. "Hidy HOOO, oooooooo big space, BIIIIIIIIIG. ooooooo pretty ladies, many ladies, HI."

Oddball doesn't bother to push his tangled hair out of his face, somehow being able to see threw it. His black shirt and pants are heavyly torn and very dirty. "WOW, nice place, big and warm and big and lots a people and big." Oddball jumps to his feet and starts bounceing around the room, giggling.

HunterKai looks around the room, "I hope you don't mind me bringing him here." HUnter Had nothing to fear, the ladies of APEC were delighted. Oddball soaked up the attention as the ladies cooed and giggled over him.

The Next Day....

The information provided by Oddball was quietly disbursed. Sercurity was quietly beefedup and life went back to normal (as normal as it get's around here). Oddball settled in happily. In the days that followed, you could hear Oddball shouting as he bounced around the castle......

"WHOOO HOOOO, Oddball have home!!!!"
