Later he was wished back by the dragonballs to do battle with Freeza. Along the way he fused with Nail who had already lost to Freeza. Piccolo was beating Freeza in his second form but when he went to his third stage Piccolo was no match for him.
In the New DBZ series, when the androids were going after Goku, he refuses with Kame again which raises his power level immensly and will eventually become a god. But Piccolo faces the same fate as Krillin and will fade away...I mean come on there's no point in him fighting if he's a god and can't die anyways ...right?
