Bardock
Bardock is Goku, Raditz, and Thares' father. He only appears once in the DBZ series in a comment made by Freeza.
During the planet Namek episodes, Freeeza recognizes Goku's face and recalls that he had seen it before when he was destroying planet Vegeta. The face is similar or the leader of the stubborn resistance movement against Freeza's invasion.
The whole saga about Bardock and the Origins of Goku is portrayed in a TV speical " The Lone Warrior and the Final Battle". He was a low level warrior, and a cold parent, he doesn't care about his new born son Goku, who has a power level of 2 at birth. Later he faces Freeza alone, but parishes in a huge energey ball that destroys the planet Vegeta. His trademark is a bandana.
