Andrew Berkowitz first became acquinted with the violin in the fall of 1995. However, he became disenfranchised with the lack of passion of his orchestra, so he quit organized music after only a few years. He joined the Jefferson Orchestra in the fall of 2001 after being persuaded by several of its members, where he discovered Kyle Boe and Joe Bartolotta shared his passion for fiddlin'.
